Step One: Buy EM Credits

You need English Momentum Credits (EM Credits) to book one-on-one English classes on Skype with an English Momentum tutor.

Get all of your credits immediately and use them or top up before they expire. Credits expire 365 days after purchase. Use them to schedule one-on-one Skype classes with any teacher and any kind of class — conversation, TOEIC or TOEFL prep, or writing. Feel free to stay with one teacher or jump around.

EM Credits – Like Money in the Bank!

EM Credits are used on English Momentum to schedule one-on-one classes on Skype. By using credits, the booking system can be more flexible. If you have to change your class time, your unused EM Credits will be given back to you. Here’s how the process works:

How to schedule a Skype class:

1) Go to “Courses” and buy EM Credits. You can buy them as either a package of EM Credits or a 6 or 12 month subscription to a Skype class.

When you buy the EM Credit pack or subscription, you will see the credits in your account.

2) Go to “Courses” and “Booking Calendar (Skype)”. Choose the teacher and the type of class you want to have on Skype. If you bought a subscription, choose “My Subscriptions” to make sure you schedule the correct class. Click the “View Availability” button.

3) Schedule a class time on the booking calendar.You must book at least 48 hours before your class time. Click a day on the calendar. Then choose a time below the calendar. Click the button, and the class is added to your shopping cart. If you just want to schedule one class hour, you are ready to go through checkout. If you want to schedule more classes for the coming weeks, you can do that now and just go through checkout one time at the end. To book a second hour, you have to go back to the course and “View Availability” again.

4) Go through checkout and pay for your scheduled class with the EM Credits you bought in step 1.

If you ever have to reschedule:

If you ever have to reschedule, you must contact your teacher at least 48 hours before your scheduled class (while your scheduled class is still in the active booking time on the calendar). You can use the form on the Teacher page, (Courses/Teachers). Tell us the situation, and we will return your EM Credits to your account and cancel your class. Then you will be able to choose a new time according to what is available on the calendar and use those credits to schedule a new class.
